Purpose of position
We are seeking an experienced Business Development Principal with a strong background in the Defence industry to drive new business opportunities and establish our company as a trusted supply partner within this sector. The successful candidate will leverage their industry knowledge and existing network to identify, develop, and secure new contracts.
Profile
* A specialist in Defence industry business development, comfortable in fast paced, complex, craft based, technical and commercial environments.
* A business winner, you can sell and scale our service offering, creating and sustaining sales revenue whilst building industry-wide stakeholder networks.
* Commercially aware with experience of the bid/proposal process and relevant industry standards in the Defence sector.
* Ability to build long-term commercially sound stakeholder relationships.
* Understanding and access to industry intelligence, able to take a holistic view of the big picture, weighing both internal and external factors to maximise our presence and success in the market.
* Ability to understand and grow sales in a ‘craft based' organisation.
