(afa) We are currently looking to recruit a Support Worker to provide support for a 7 year old girl. The purpose of your role will be to enable her independence by taking part in various activities in the community.
You will support with visiting SEN sessions at places such as the trampoline park, soft plays, Tim Lamb centre and also outdoor parks, visiting a cafe etc.
Car driver is essential and all expenses will be met by employer.
She is an amazing little girl who will steal your heart, she loves to laugh, smile and sing her favourite songs. She’s always on the go and you will definitely get your steps in spending time with her but the fun you would have being in her company is worth every step! She can get upset in noisy environments and can struggle with transitioning from one place to another but if you take your time with her and support her she will usually get past being upset quite quickly.
It will be an advantage however not essential if you have experience of supporting young people or children with ASD and/or ADHD.
We would also like our support worker to be able to suggest things to do out in the community so you should be willing to be proactive in finding various activities to take part in.
MAIN DUTIES · Support with enabling independence
· Assist with taking part in activities and to pursue hobbies and interests
· Ensure safety when out and about
· Some personal care support is required with toileting and hand washing
Person Specification Successful applicant must: · Ideally have experience working as a support worker with children and children with ASD/ADHD
· Have a positive understanding towards people with disabilities
· Have a genuine interest in working within social care
· Have a high degree of initiative
· Be punctual and reliable
· Be flexible
· Have a happy, positive and caring nature.
· Respect confidentiality.
Car driver preferable and must have business insurance. An Enhanced DBS Check is required, cost to be met by employer..

Rate of Pay: £13.09 per hour
