As our next Night Reception Supervisor, you will provide an amazing and heartwarming welcome to our guests, connecting with them, and ensuring their stay with us exceeds their expectations. You will lead the team, delivering bar service alongside that warm hello which says to guests 'I belong.'
The role has responsibility for our Night Service across two adjoining hotels: Novotel Manchester Centre and Ibis 96 Portland Street.
You will be the face of our hotels, extending a warm welcome to our guests, putting their well-being at the heart of everything you do, while adding your personal touch to their stay.
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Night Reception Supervisor to join our team in Manchester, United Kingdom. As the Night Reception Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the front desk operations during night shifts over two properties.
* Supervise and lead the night shift reception team, providing guidance and support as needed.
* Manage guest check-ins, check-outs, and inquiries, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience.
* Handle financial transactions, including end-of-shift reconciliations.
* Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests and complaints.
* Coordinate with other departments to address guest needs and maintain hotel operations.
* Ensure compliance with hotel policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
* Monitor hotel security and respond to emergencies as required.
* Prepare and maintain accurate shift reports and guest records.
* Train and mentor new night shift reception staff.
* Assist in managing inventory and supplies for the front desk area.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or related field preferred.
* Proven experience in hotel reception or similar customer service role.
* Previous supervisory experience in a hospitality setting.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Strong leadership abilities and team management experience.
* Proficiency in hotel management software and computer systems.
* Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions under pressure.
* Exceptional multitasking capabilities and attention to detail.
* Experience in cash handling and financial reconciliation.
* In-depth knowledge of hotel operations and hospitality industry standards.
* Flexibility to work night shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
* Ability to stand for extended periods and assist with light lifting when necessary.
