Job Title: Welfare Attendance Officer
Location: Tower Hamlets
Term: currently until end of March 2025
Rate: £23.48 PAYE/30.13 Umbrella

Responsibilities:
1. Utilise your thorough knowledge of the education system to improve attendance at schools and contribute to the raising of achievement.
2. Monitor school attendance levels and assist in the development and review of whole school attendance policies.
3. Provide a specialised professional service to ensure the organisation meets its statutory obligations regarding school attendance and pupil welfare.
4. Disseminate good practice and collaborate with other officers to provide coordinated support to schools.
Requirements:
1. Demonstrated experience working in education, preferably with schools or other educational settings.
2. Knowledge of relevant legislation and guidance related to school attendance and child and family well-being.
3. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, to effectively engage with students, families, and school staff.
4. Proven ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines.
5. Strong analytical, verbal, and numeric reasoning skills.
