Job Title:
Assistant Estates Manager
Description & Background:
We're seeking an experienced property professional to support the Head of Land and Land & Property teams in managing all land and property activities throughout the lifecycle of the Sizewell C project. This role is crucial in facilitating the construction and operation of one of the UK's most significant infrastructure projects through effective land and property management.
Principal Responsibilities:
Manage day-to-day commercial land/property deal compliance and amendments
Support securing rights and access arrangements under the Development Consent Order
Coordinate with specialist consultants, agents, and solicitors
Manage financial and administrative processes for external advisors
Ensure compliance with Company Governance and Health & Safety requirements
Support finance aspects relating to main development and commercial property
Maintain land and property interest registers/databases
Monitor and forecast land budgets and risk registers
Interface with internal teams including DCO Planning, Delivery, and Finance
Apply landlord and tenant law principles and commercial property valuation
Required Qualifications & Experience:
Degree in relevant discipline (e.g., land management)
Excellent numeracy and literacy skills
Strong written and oral presentation abilities
Experience managing varied workload
Problem-solving capabilities
Effective interpersonal skills
High degree of integrity and confidentiality
Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams
Desirable Skills:
RICS qualification
Infrastructure project experience
Commercial or agricultural property management background
Experience with compulsory acquisition powers
