Clinical Psychologist Private provider Salary up to £70,000 per annum Permanent- Full Time Spencer Clarke Group are looking for a Clinical Psychologist to join one of our private providers across two of their services, both of which are located in Cumbria. Further to this both of the sites are Learning Disabilities and Autism services. The working week will be split between both sites, spending 3 days of the week at the service which is located closest to you and the following 2 days at the other. You will be responsible for the conduct of risk assessments, MDT work, diagnostic and cognitive evaluations, and individual and group interventions, all of which will report directly to the Lead Psychologist. In addition, you will be expected to develop and deliver training and lead staff reflective practice sessions. You will have the expertise and experience to manage a service user's caseload as a clinical psychologist, which includes evaluating their complex requirements and creating and administering specialised psychological therapies to complement their care plans. What you'll do: Participate in referral assessments, along with providing initial assessments to service users who have been referred to the service. Establishing independent clinical decisions and carrying out exceptional direct (therapeutic and assessment) and indirect (consultative, advising, and evaluative) specialised psychological interventions. Utilising a variety of semi-structured clinical and structured psychometric techniques, conduct evaluations while working therapeutically with clients who have complex presentations. Developing and carrying out plans for specialised psychological care as well as monitoring patients' mental health requirements based on best practices supported by current research and a comprehensive understanding of psychology. Taking full responsibility and accountability for every element of clinical practice and care, both legally and professionally Upholding high levels of care across the organisation and in compliance with company policies and procedures, professional guidelines, and the HCPC Code of Conduct. What we're looking for: To uphold a psychology degree which is approved by the BPS. To be registered with HCPC. Must have the necessary post-graduate credentials and be a chartered psychologist. To be an authorised supervisor in accordance with the BPS and the appropriate division's guidelines. To obtain an understanding of evidence-based psychological practice. Have relevant experience of applying psychological knowledge to a setting which is predominately Learning difficulties and Autism setting. To have worked with clients that have cognitive deficits.
