ARE YOU AN EXPERIENCED, COMPASSIONATE SOCIAL WORKER LOOKING TO SPECIALISE IN SAFEGUARDING ADULTS?
An excellent opportunity has arisen for 1 part-time senior social worker to join the established Dudley Adult MASH (multi-agency safeguarding hub).
Key Responsibilities:
* Receive safeguarding referrals for all adults who may be at risk in Dudley and who don’t have an allocated social worker.
* Utilise a multi-agency approach to gather information and reach threshold decisions.
* Analyse safeguarding concerns, engage citizens, direct information gathering with partner agencies, and reach defensible threshold decisions within defined timescales.
Team Environment:
* We are a small, supportive team that provides regular supervision, weekly staff huddles, peer support, and bi-monthly group supervisions.
* We have strong, well-established relationships with our partner agencies including health, police, probation, and housing.
* Provide clear written processes for all areas of the service, along with a supported induction to the service and directorate.
* Encourage professional development and a learning environment with opportunities for post-qualifying training and regular webinars.
Position Details:
* Hours: 18 per week - with a working pattern to include Monday and Tuesday preferred.
* Salary: Grade 10.
Qualifications:
You will require a social work qualification and proven experience in working within adult safeguarding.
Candidate Profile:
* Highly motivated and experienced social worker with excellent knowledge of safeguarding in the context of the Care Act.
* Ability to manage complex cases while illustrating clear risk analysis and creative strategies for engagement and support.
The role is a 'hybrid' role with some home working and some office working.
