Location: Field-based covering Dundee - Aberdeen. Reports to: Area Sales Manager Overview: We are seeking a motivated and dynamic Business Development Executive to join our growing team. This field-based role will be responsible for managing and expanding relationships with an established customer base while actively identifying and pursuing new business opportunities. The ideal candidate will have a background in account management or business development, with a proven track record of driving sales growth and fostering strong client relationships. Key Responsibilities: Account Management: Manage and nurture relationships with an existing portfolio of 80-100 customers, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and retention. New Business Development: Identify and prospect new clients within your territory, generating leads, conducting presentations, and closing sales. Client Growth: Upsell and cross-sell services and products to current customers, working to increase revenue from existing accounts. Sales Target Achievement: Consistently meet or exceed sales targets and KPIs set by the management team. Market Research: Stay up to date with industry trends and competitor activity to identify new opportunities and inform strategic sales efforts. Relationship Building: Develop long-term, trusted relationships with customers to become their go-to partner for all relevant business needs. Reporting: Maintain accurate records of all sales activity, customer interactions, and progress towards targets in the company CRM system. Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams such as marketing, operations, and customer service to ensure the successful delivery of services and resolve any client issues. Requirements: Proven experience in business development, account management, or a sales role, ideally within a field-based or B2B environment. Strong ability to generate new business, identify opportunities, and close deals. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Demonstrated ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships. Self-motivated, proactive, and results-driven with a strong focus on achieving targets. Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly within your assigned territory. Strong organisational and time management skills. Experience using CRM systems to track sales activity and client information.
