Key Responsibilities Be responsible for the UK financial planning (WP) offering as a part of the wider wealth planning suite of services. Provide support to CROs and their clients in the UK region from a wealth planning perspective with the focus being driving the financial planning arm forward. Work closely with the UK Head of Wealth Planning on the achievement, monitoring and regularly reporting of financial performance and business development efforts in the UK. Knowledge sharing with the UK and Global Wealth Planning teams. Organise and offer awareness training sessions to CROs on relevant areas impacting wealth/financial planning in the UK. Support the UK Head of Wealth Planning head with product development efforts where relevant. Identify new business opportunities during client interactions or reviews and contribute to net new assets (NNAs) acquisitions and/or product cross-selling for the Bank. Develop and maintain strong network of external advisors (Lawyers, Accountants, etc.), insurance brokers and other counterparties. Senior Financial Planner Focus on UK-centric wealth advice which can include UK resident clients, UK resident non domiciled clients, and international clients with a banking relationship in the UK. Work with CROs, clients and prospects to identify opportunities regarding client wealth planning needs and objectives. Deliver FCA regulated wealth planning advice in the areas of estate planning, life insurance, pensions, tax efficient investments and tax efficient wrappers. A strong technical understanding of the operation of offshore bonds throughout their lifecycle and for which investors they might be suitable for. Be the EFG leading global specialist in the area of UK financial planning matters with a focus on the UK resident and domiciled market. Conduct in-depth reviews of the Bank clients' financial circumstances, current provision and future aims. Analyse information and prepare plans best suited to individual clients' requirements with a complete risk analysis where relevant. Research information from various sources, including providers of financial products. Review and respond to clients’ changing needs and financial circumstances. Produce financial reports. Be able to provide content to clients with news impacting them from a financial planning perspective or changes to legislation that may affect their savings and investments. Meet the regulatory aspects of the role, e.g., requirements for disclosure, costs of the services provided and also where relevant, advise on product Monitor Suitability and Supervisory metrics and produce reports and action plans where required to address risks identified Support the PB COO and Supervision teams on delivering the Training and Supervisory framework where required Skills and experience Progressive and demonstrable experience in the financial planning space ideally working for a private bank or insurance brokerage. Seasoned Financial Planner with strong UK res dom experience and market knowledge. Familiar with the UK legal and tax systems as well as pensions and life insurance markets. international experience or at least international outlook on business (desirable) Demonstrable experience of working with U/HNW clients and providing structuring solutions for private individuals. Required qualifications: University degree in Law, Finance or accounting related discipline; holding additional qualifications linked to the area of relevance, Relevant professional qualifications: Chartered Banker Institute – Diploma in Professional Financial Advice, Chartered Institute for Securities & Investments (CISI) – Investment Advice Diploma Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) – Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning The London Institute of Banking & Finance – Diploma for Financial Advisers or, preferably: Level 6 Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning or Chartered Financial Planner status. Up-to-date Statement of Professional Standing (SPS) STEP member Required competencies: Strong analytical, problem-solving and synthesising skills relating to wealth planning, tax and estate planning, accountancy, insurance, banking and investment. Astute business sense and can identify new business opportunities during client interactions or reviews and can contribute to net new assets (NNAs) acquisitions and/or product cross-selling for the Bank. Excellent communication skills and sales capabilities with the ability to express things simply and directly while maintaining a focused and controlled discussion.
