As a Junior Sister/ Charge Nurse you are responsible for assessment and care of respiratory patients, prioritisation of treatment, delivery of care and evaluation.
The post holder is expected to carry out all relevant forms of care with or without direct supervision, required to demonstrate procedures and to supervise qualified and/or unqualified staff within the department.
Main duties of the job
Main Duties of Junior Sister / Charge Nurse is to oversee the day to day function of the ward.
* Support the Ward Manager with the day to day management of the ward, including ensuring staffing levels are safe and raising concerns to arrange cover when necessary.
* Support the Ward Manager in managing post holders within ward establishment.
* Responsible for leading a team & ensuring you have an appropriately skilled and effective workforce.
* Flexible approach to working patterns - this post will require rotation to night duty and weekend working including bank holidays.
