Alderbrook Care Home - Care Assistant Role
Based in Leeds, our care home provides specialist care for 140 residents with complex physical and mental health needs.
We are seeking a dedicated Care Assistant to join our close-knit team, providing exceptional care and support to our residents. As a key person, you will play a vital role in promoting their independence, dignity, and overall well-being.
Your Key Responsibilities:
* Empower Independence: Assist residents with daily routines, encouraging positive choices and maintaining independence.
* Personalized Care: Support each resident's personalized care plan, providing hands-on help and thoughtful attention to their individual needs.
* Health and Wellbeing: Monitor residents' health, communicate concerns to the Nurse or Clinical Deputy Manager, and assist with calls to healthcare professionals.
* Champion Dignity: Uphold the dignity and respect of each resident, ensuring they feel valued and cared for in every interaction.
* Social Support: Encourage social interactions among residents and with staff, creating a warm and welcoming environment.
* Safety and Comfort: Collaborate with housekeepers to maintain clean, safe, and comfortable living spaces, responding quickly to emergencies or call bells.
* Nutritional Support: Assist residents who need extra help with eating and drinking, ensuring their nutritional needs are met.
* Spread Smiles: Bring joy to our residents' lives and make them smile every day.
About You:
* Qualifications: SVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care is preferred.
* Experience: Ideally, you have at least 6 months of experience as a Care Assistant, but we welcome those with a passion for care and transferable skills.
* Passion: You're genuinely interested in caring for the elderly and committed to delivering excellent service.
