The Demands and developments on Doncaster’s highway network present interesting and varied challenges. We are currently recruiting for an assistant engineer as a key member of the road safety team, working hard to successfully improve road safety across the Borough.
You will predominantly be undertaking the investigation, design, project management and delivery of road safety improvement schemes including reduced speed limits, and dealing with enquiries; alongside assisting with some of the city’s more significant highways projects and developments.
The ideal candidate will have good communication skills, computer skills (including CAD and specialist IT applications) and the ability to work alone or as part of a team.
Knowledge and experience of relevant traffic regulations, legislation, design standards and guidance is required, alongside an A’ level standard qualification or equivalent ideally in a technical field.
