Spinwell is recruiting for a Senior Human Factors Specialist for an excellent opportunity within the public sector.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE SENIOR HUMAN FACTORS SPECIALIST
Lead the integration of risk management to incorporate Human Factors issues, by:
oDevelopment of Human Factors policy, procedures and guidance
oHuman Factors risk assessments (Safety Critical Task Analysis) for activities that could result in major accidents.
oResearch and policy initiatives which involve Human Factors
oUndertake Human Factors training and awareness raising activities, including the development, production, design and delivery of new Human Factors training courses and materials and providing support to trainee Human Factors specialist(s)
oSupport investigation of incidents, dangerous occurrences and near miss investigations
To develop and maintain links with Human Factor professionals in other organisations and relevant professional bodies (e.g. CIEHF)
Carrying out any other tasks and duties as may reasonably be required by the Corporate Health, Safety and Environmental Protection Team
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE OF THE SENIOR HUMAN FACTORS SPECIALIST
Chartered Member of Institute of Ergonomics and Human Factors
Experience in Safety Critical Task Analysis in high hazard facilities.
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Practical experience and understanding of managing risks in high hazard environments
