Xentrall Shared Services is a successful partnership between Stockton and Darlington Councils and is responsible for several services including Transactional Services, which includes Transactional Finance.
The Role
Title: Finance Officer (Operational Services)
Location: Bayheath House Stockton-on-Tees.
What will you be doing?
You will be joining Xentrall Finance as part of the Banking Team, assisting the Finance Team Leader in the provision of an efficient and effective finance service.
The team provides support to all services within the Councils, liaising with a range of clients including Head Teachers, Line Managers, Officers, and partners of the Council.
Duties will include assisting in the day-to-day supervision and support of staff in the team, reconciling the councils' bank accounts, allocation of income, and assisting in a wide range of clerical and administrative functions associated with the provision of the service.
Who are we looking for?
We are a busy but friendly team, looking for an enthusiastic and hardworking person who has excellent organisational and IT skills.
You must have experience of working in a customer service administration environment and have experience of finance systems. You must be able to demonstrate you have the skills needed to collaborate well with customers and build excellent working relationships. Experience of working as a team and achieving deadlines are also key to the role.
A good standard of education will be a distinct advantage; however, it is more important that you have a willingness to learn and develop in the role, and a readiness to work in an environment that thrives on helping others.
