As a Semi-Senior Accountant, you will play a vital role in supporting a range of clients, both business and individuals, with their accountancy and taxation requirements. Your expertise in delivering exceptional services to our clients, as well as being a proactive team player, will have a positive impact on the growth of the practice.
Responsibilities
1. Annual Accounts – preparing the annual accounts for our Sole Trader, Partnership and Limited Company clients in a timely and accurate manner.
2. VAT Returns – Preparation and Submission of Quarterly VAT Returns for a range of clients.
3. Management Accounts – responsible for the preparation of management accounts for a portfolio of our clients, gaining an understanding of their business and personal goals, and providing financial support to help our clients.
4. Personal Tax Returns – assisting with the preparation of a range of personal tax returns for both business owners and individual clients.
Qualifications & Experience
We are looking for someone currently AAT qualified or equivalent, and looking to complete a Chartered Accountancy Qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or suitably qualified by experience.
You will have two to three years of UK based accountancy practice experience, as well as strong IT skills using Microsoft Office, and excellent organisation, administrative and communication skills.
Online accounting software experience, preferably Xero, is essential.
You will have the ability to work under pressure and to deadlines, with great attention to detail. You will be a flexible, motivated and a pro-active team member, who can make a positive impact to the practice.
