Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen within Royal Manchester Children's Hospital, for an enthusiastic, highly motivated and experienced Band 6Specialist Nurse within the Paediatric Rheumatology Service. This is a Regional service offering diagnosis, treatment and support to children and young people with a variety of Rheumatological conditions. Main duties of the job The successful applicant will be a valued member of the MDT and work within the wider hospital to deliver nurse led clinics, investigations,treatment and counselling to children young people and their families. The post holder will work within the values and beliefs of MFT to ensure ahigh quality, efficient and caring service is delivered. The post holder will be committed to providing high quality care to patients and helping themto make the right decisions about their treatment options, with the skills to guide and advise them throughout their treatment journey. The post holder must demonstrate excellent communication skills from working with the wider MDT and with children, parents and families. Thepost holder will be competent and confident in the management and administration of medications and have clinical skills to support the delivery of direct patient care. The post holder must be able to work well under pressure and have experience of developing a service and/or experience withmanaging / supervising nurses in practice. This is a proactive and developing service seeking those with a desire for innovation and service improvement. The successful candidate will be part of an established nursing team and will be supported by the Band 7 team leader. A comprehensive trainingand an induction programme will be provided for successful candidates.
