Harlow Council is looking to recruit a Revenues & Benefits Officer to join our Revenues & Benefits team.
Location: Civic Centre & some remote working
We are looking for a self-motivated professional individual with detailed knowledge of at least one of the following:
* Housing Benefit & Council Tax Support legislation
* Non Domestic Rates
* Sundry Debt Recovery
In addition to this, you will need strong communication skills and be able to provide advice to customers in writing, face-to-face, and over the telephone.
You should have:
* Previous experience of administering either Housing Benefit and Council Tax Support claims, Council Tax, Non Domestic Rates or Sundry Debts
* Experience of achieving/exceeding varied targets in an office environment
* The ability to work under pressure and be able to explain complex decisions
* Experience of working on the Civica Open Revenues system or a similar software system

Salary range / grade: £32,878 - £34,058 per annum
Hours: 37.5 hours per week (banking 30 minutes per week to be used towards the shut down between Christmas and New Year)
