THE COMPANY Are you an experienced Bookkeeper looking for a new opportunity to work in an Accountancy Practice in the Cannock area? Do you want to feel valued and really be able to contribute to a small team? THE ROLE You will be working for a Cannock based accountancy practice as a Bookkeeper getting involved with all bookkeeping duties including payroll. You will be processing purchase ledger and sales ledger invoices, dealing with CIS returns and reconciling bank statements. You will deal with monthly customer statements, supplier payments and producing and submitting VAT returns. You will also be processing payrolls for clients, including weekly and monthly payrolls, dealing with all deductions and queries. You will be liaising directly with clients and work to set deadlines and manage own time in a small office environment. This is an office-based position. REQUIREMENTS Ideally you will have 3 years UK based practice experience and a good knowledge of Sage, Xero, Quickbooks and MS Excel. You will also have a good knowledge of payroll. You will have high standards of written and oral communication and the ability to work on own initiative in a very busy team. You will possess general accounting skills, be passionate about providing great client service and use to managing your own set of clients, working to strict deadlines. Support will be given, where appropriate, to continue professional development towards the AAT, ACCA or ACA qualification. COMPANY BENEFITS Salary from £22,000 - £25,000, Auto Enrolment Pension and free Parking. Other benefits to be discussed at interview stage.
