Summary
About the role
We’ve got an exciting Product Manager role to recruit into the Mortgage Product Performance team. Key responsibilities for this role include utilising the price optimisation tool to support the ongoing management of the mortgage portfolio and monitor actual performance (vs. forecast expectations) and, where necessary, make senior management aware of any key variances and action.
This role also plays a key part in the Product Approval Group (PAG), where product proposals are presented and discussed. This includes writing papers, engaging, and presenting to key stakeholders (such as Finance, Treasury, Operational areas) in advance to obtain ‘buy in’ and any supporting information we require from them (e.g., a view on the cost of proposed action).
This role involves proactively monitoring the market and identifying opportunities to outperform forecast expectations, keeping key areas/stakeholders engaged and up-to-date on the latest plans, and taking ownership of understanding/managing key reports, models, and other MI. Where necessary, this role will also support forecasting and implementation activities.
About you
To be successful, you’ll have pricing experience (ideally mortgage focused). Experience with forecasting performance (using reports/models/tools) will also be essential.
You’ll have an analytical background with strong decision-making skills and be able to work to tight deadlines due to the fast-paced nature of the markets we operate in. Being good with numbers, along with the ability to deliver simple but engaging communications (both verbally and written) while working with a wide range of stakeholders is critical.
The ability and experience to write comprehensive proposals/papers in short timescales, as well as presenting to and influencing senior managers/executives, will be needed. You should also have good Excel and PowerPoint knowledge/skills and accuracy skills.
