The Senior Personal Banking Advisor performs a variety of branch duties in accordance with regulatory and security guidelines. Generates new business through educating and cross selling products and services. Assists Personal Banking Manager in all aspects of branch operations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Assist clients by telephone or in person with new account services including additions or changes in client accounts. Actively cross sells all bank products.
2. Fill out contract forms, determines charges or fees for service requested, collects deposits, prepares change of address records, and proper disclosure forms.
3. Responsible for opening/closing the branch.
4. Remain educated on all bank products, services and technology offered by the bank.
5. Adapt quickly to the changing technology.
6. Increase consumer awareness of the technology available to them through our products and services.
7. Educate clients on the use of technology and provide instruction/demonstration on how to properly use the technology for their benefit.
8. Solve client complaints, questions or problems.
9. Assist in all branch supervisory functions including branch settlement, teller balancing, ATM settlement.
10. Receive checks and cash for deposit, verify amount, and examine checks for endorsements.
11. Cash checks and pay out money after verification of signatures and client balances.
12. Authorized to sign Bank Checks.
13. Enter client transactions into computer to record transactions, and issues computer generated receipts.
14. Place holds on accounts for uncollected funds.
15. Respond to audit reviews and help complete branch monthly audit reports.
16. Buy and sell Foreign currency.
17. Process domestic and international wires.
18. Order branch cash and ship excess cash when necessary.
19. Allow clients access to safe deposit boxes, following specified procedures.
20. Monitor and review financial institution's security procedures and control access to vault.
21. Assist in maintaining all dual control logs.
22. Use supervisory authority in support of teller transactions.
23. Ensure the security and safety of all employees.
24. Respond to after hour alarm calls.
25. Supervisor authority appropriate to level assigned.
26. Leads branch huddles.
27. Manage staff sales/referral performance and branch goals status.
28. Observe staff interactions and contribute to staff coaching and development.
SECONDARY DUTIES
1. Represent the bank in community related activities.
2. Attend educational programs/seminars related to banking.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Back up to Personal Banking Manager as needed.
CERTIFICATES/LICENSES
Maintains satisfactory NMLS registration under the regulations of the SAFE Act.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
