Role: Accountant Type: Temp 5-month Contract Salary: £150 to £250 per day UMB 1 to 2 days a week onsite Location: East Midlands Sellick Partnership are currently recruiting for an Accountant for our Local Authority client. The post holder will assist with year-end following the implementation of the new finance system part way through their financial year. The Responsibilities of the Accountant will be; Support the Principal Accountant or Principal Capital Accountant in promoting best financial practices across the authority. Assist in preparing financial accounts for assigned directorates. Assist in preparing budgets for assigned directorates. Main duties will be month-end reconciliation, prepayments, accruals and managing the insurance claims. The Ideal candidate for the Accountant will have; Part Qualified accountant. Local Authority finance experience. Experience in financial management and accounting practice. Staskeholder management.
