PRODUCT ENGINEERING: HARDWARE AND MECHATRONICS GRADUATE PROGRAMME
Hardware and Mechatronics is at the heart of all our vehicles. It's fundamental to how we address the ever-evolving engineering landscape and the challenges it brings. At JLR, our vehicle dynamics and off-road capability really sets us apart, but our remit spans much farther than that. From mechanical design through to integration and systems engineering, we deliver outstanding customer experiences that bring modern luxury to life.
We deliver safety-critical, high-performing and high-quality systems thanks to the creative expertise of our people and the world-class tools and processes we use. As a Hardware and Mechatronics graduate, you'll support us throughout the design and verification process by utilising both Computer Aided Design (CAD) and Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) to deliver engineering specifications. You'll use state-of-the-art engineering equipment and software to help you design the electromechanical control systems of the future.
During this two-year long programme, you could be working across a number of specialisms - rotating through different teams, building cross-functional relationships and collaborating with different stakeholders as you deliver innovative engineering solutions.
YOUR DEVELOPMENT
Our graduate programme is all about helping you grow and thrive. You'll get to work with some of the brightest minds in the industry, build connections, and gain valuable insights that will set you up for success.
We're here to support you every step of the way, both personally and professionally, so you can reach your full potential. As a graduate, you'll join a bespoke learning programme designed and delivered in partnership with our external training partner, Ashorne Hill. You'll build essential business skills, including resilience, decision making and problem solving, personal branding, and self-care. Plus, you'll have dedicated off-the-job learning time and the ongoing support of our Early Careers Delivery team, who will be with you throughout your journey.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
To join the Product Engineering: Hardware and Mechatronics Graduate Programme, you'll need to hold or be on track to achieve at least a 2.2 degree in mechanical, electronic, electrical, software, chemical, aeronautical, automotive, material or environmental engineering, aerospace computer science, mechatronics, maths or physics.
You should be a skilled problem-solver with a curiosity for understanding business challenges and a drive to deliver innovative solutions. Strong numerical and interpersonal skills, along with the confidence to champion new initiatives, are also essential.
