An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our dynamic Finance team at Harrogate and District NHS FT for an Assistant Finance Manager - Corporate (as well as some areas of Long-Term Unscheduled & Cancer Care, currently Pathology, Pharmacy & Adult Community).

The Assistant Finance Manager will provide first-line financial management support and advice to Directors and Budget Managers within the Clinical and Corporate Directorates. The Assistant Finance Manager will be a member of the Senior Finance Team, supporting Senior Management Teams within the Directorates.
The post holder will adopt a modern, proactive and dynamic approach to ensure the efficient and effective use of financial resources. The post holder will provide financial performance management and business planning information relating to the Directorate activities and budgets that are integral to the achievement of the objectives and targets set by the Trust.
The post holder will be responsible for providing financial advice and guidance on highly complex issues, supporting strategic financial and business planning issues. In addition, the post holder will be responsible for supporting the management and development of the corporate financial management function.
The post holder will ensure all statutory and non-statutory finance returns are completed, ensuring all timescales and legal requirements are met, and providing analysis and interpretation where necessary.
