Workshop Manager\n\nOur client is looking to recruit a Workshop Manager who will be responsible for overseeing the entire workshop operations, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and productivity. Other duties will include staff management, managing maintenance schedules while ensuring safety and quality standards.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nWorkshop Operations Management:\n\nOversee daily workshop activities, ensuring smooth workflow and efficient use of resources.\n\nMonitor maintenance schedules for all equipment and vehicles.\n\nEnsure all repairs and servicing are carried out to the highest standard.\n\nStaff Management & Training:\n\nSupervise, mentor, and train workshop staff, including mechanics and technicians.\n\nEnsure all staff adhere to health, safety, and company policies.\n\nBudget & Cost Control:\n\nMonitor workshop expenses, ensuring cost-effective procurement of spare parts and materials.\n\nMaintain inventory of critical spares and tools.\n\nWork with procurement teams to negotiate supplier contracts.\n\nSafety & Compliance:\n\nEnsure workshop operations comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.\n\nImplement risk assessments and enforce proper use of PPE.\n\nMaintain records of repairs, services, and inspections for auditing purposes.\n\nReporting & Communication:\n\nProvide regular reports on workshop performance, maintenance schedules, and equipment condition.\n\nLiaise with other departments to ensure availability of equipment and vehicles.\n\nCommunicate with suppliers and external contractors when needed.\n\nKey Skills & Qualifications:\n\n * Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related field.\n\n * Experience in a workshop management role.\n\n * Strong leadership, organisational, and problem-solving skills
