Description Job description Hours: 21 hours per week Working Pattern: Monday - Wednesday 8.45am - 4.45pm Salary: £31,096.30 - £31,954.00 per year pro rata Vacancy: Permanent View the Revenue Officer (Court Team) job profile An excellent development opportunity has arisen for an experienced individual to join the council’s Court Team, responsible for providing an in-house service for raising Court actions for recovery of possession of Council tenancies in relation to rent arrears. The Court Team is also responsible for the management of former tenant rent arrears recovery. As an Officer within the Court Team, you will have responsibility for effective collection of current and former tenancy rent arrears, including raising simple procedures cases and proceeding to diligence. You will provide guidance and assistance to team members. You will also contribute to the development of procedures to ensure continuous improvement. As an officer within the court Team will you will also be required to attend and represent South Lanarkshire Council at Lanark, Hamilton and Glasgow Sheriff Courts. The successful applicant will have excellent communication skills and the ability to work with a wide variety of people including Courts, Sheriff Officers, Solicitors, Local Area Teams, and other internal and external partners/agencies. As an Officer within the Court Team, you should have significant experience of working in challenging environment and will be required to interview tenants under threat of eviction and provide advice and assistance. Excellent IT skills are required as well as having the ability to work to deadlines, with the ability to organise and prioritise your own workload.
