Receptionist
Job Start Date: As soon as possible
Salary: Scale 3 Points 5-6,£21,299.57 - £21,637.24 per annum (for 37 hours)
37 hours per week TTO (job share considered)
The Governors of Whittington C E Primary School are looking to appoint a member of the School Office Team who is able to:
* Act as front of house and communicate with pupils, staff, parents and visitors appropriately.
* Ensure security protocols are communicated and understood by all visitors at the school.
* Provide general admin support to ensure the school delivers effective and efficient services.
* Assist in the collection and recording of various data, e.g. attendance and pupil data.
* Assist the School Business Manager with various finance procedures including purchase orders, goods receipting and invoicing.
* Secure handling of cash.
* Answer and direct all incoming phone calls.
* Monitor the office email and handle queries.
* Act as a first point of contact for parents, e.g. when reporting absences or answering queries.
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and this position is subject to a criminal record check from the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly CRB) which will require you to disclose details of all unspent and unfiltered spent reprimands, formal warnings, cautions and convictions as part of the recruitment process. This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. Shortlisted candidates will be asked to complete a self-declaration of their criminal record and other relevant safeguarding information that may make them unsuitable to work with children.
