Description
We are exclusively working with a packaging manufacturer who are looking for a Procurement/Purchasing Manager to join the team, based in Crewe.
Key Responsibilities
* Purchasing from approved suppliers and procure various printed and non-printed consumables.
* Negotiate with raw material suppliers an agreed delivery schedule to enable production demand to be met.
* Ensure effective communication with supplier and assist with price negotiations.
* Control all raw material stocks to optimum levels and maintain accuracy of each specific product.
* Establish, maintain and co-ordinate all outwork activities with external suppliers.
* Allocate all raw materials to enable each order to be completed by the indicated delivery date.
* Present accurate reporting information to the Financial Director and assist with budget information as and when required.
* Always ensure adherence to the Company’s Quality Assurance Policies and Procedures and maintain compliance to appropriate standards.
* The quality management system has been designed and developed to meet the requirements of ISO9001, PS9000, BRC, FSC and PEFC.
* Carry out work safely in the interests of other employees and themselves, in compliance with current legislation and Company Environmental, Health & Safety procedures to including general housekeeping.
Key Skills
* IT Skills e.g Excel.
* Excellent time management and organisational skills.
* Able to communicate effectively.
* Worked with ERP systems previously.
Salary & Benefits
* £40,000 - £45,000+ (DOE)
* Days Role – Monday to Friday 8:15am – 4:30pm.
