Scotch Governance team contribute to a step change in Process Safety and COMAH management across the Scotch category. As part of a newly formed team, we are looking for 2 COMAH Managers to work closely with operational teams on sites across Scotch to mentor and coach. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic people person who likes structure but thrives on working with diverse teams to drive improvement This would be an excellent development role and a great opportunity for someone looking to expand their knowledge and experience across Scotch, The strategic role of the COMAH Manager, is to provide expertise and judgement on Compliance with COMAH regulations, and is responsible for evaluating and making judgements on the effectiveness of major accident hazard management for COMAH sites south of and including Blackgrange and validating that site management are competent to fulfil their obligations under COMAH regulations. This role is part of the Scotch Governance Fire and Process Safety and team, reporting to the Scotch Process and Fire Safety Manager. The role holder will work in collaboration with Technical Specialists, providing recommendations and mentorship to ensure all sites are compliant in accordance with current legislation and Diageo Global and Scotch risk management standards.,
* Supporting transition of non COMAH sites to lower tier following changes to HSC or changes to site operating parameters and Work closely and collaboratively with Scotch Technical Authorities and Site Management teams to ensure that COMAH requirements are documented, communicated, and understood at all levels of site operations and support functions
* Development and maintenance of the COMAH competence framework and · Leading incident investigations into Process Safety events categorised as medium, high or other classifications that have significance across other Diageo sites and ensuring that CAPA is effectively managed by site.
* Manage COMAH reporting to demonstrate compliance with MAPP and Safety Report requirements.
* Supervising legislative compliance through periodic inspection of operations, projects, and contractors.
* Provide technical support to operations in terms of HAZID, HAZOP, LOPA, Functional Safety Management and Operational Risk Assessments.

* Knowledge of the regulations and associated ACOP, guidance and recognised good practice.
* Firm understanding of Legal requirements such as Electrical Safety, COMAH, PUWER, Machinery Safety, Functional Safety (SIL), DSEAR, HV / LV and hazardous area working.
* Proficient in the use of standard business (MS Office).
* · This role covers a number of sites in Scotland and the sought after candidate should be able to support sites visits as needed through a mixture of zoom calls and site visits, so a Full UK Driving License is required.
Desirable
* Health and Safety qualification (NEBOSH); Or
* Experience of working on COMAH sites either as a safety professional or as part of a site operations management team.
Experience Demonstrated Experience record in a FMCG production or manufacturing environment.
