About The Role
East Kent Colleges Group are working in collaboration with BRIT Kids and have an exciting opportunity for a Student and Parent Liaison Officer based at our Canterbury College.
Please note that this role is 4 hours per week on a Saturday, 9am-1pm. The role is temporary until 12th July 2025.
BRIT Kids are fee paying performing, creative and media arts classes that run on Saturdays. We're part of The BRIT School, a unique free school for the Performing and Creative arts.
The role is front of house, and you will be responsible for greeting parents and students, answering parent queries and directing their concerns to the relevant member of staff. This role is a varied position with a great deal of movement around site, taking late children to class and being a first aider. You would assist in the smooth running of BRIT Kids, helping create a fun and comfortable environment for the children and young people.
Key Responsibilities
* Overall, assisting in the smooth running of BRIT Kids
* To greet parents and children and assist with movement of students around site
* To prepare the site for each day with signage
* Be a Fire Marshal and First Aider
* Additional admin duties such as monitoring phone calls
* To exercise a commitment to the school’s mission statement, ethos, equal opportunities policy, health and safety policy and all other current school policies
* To help on the ground running of shows, ticketing and movement of guests.
About You
We want working at BRIT Kids to be the highlight of your week. You will have the ability to work unsupervised, and will be able to carry out instructions with accuracy independently as well as part of a team. For this role, you'll have good customer service skills and be able to actively contribute to the school's Safeguarding practice, procedure, culture and ethos.
