Job Title: Patient Care Assistant
Salary: £24,045 per annum
Location: Abbey House Veterinary Hospital, Morley
Job Type: 12-month fixed-term contract
Hours: 40 hours per week, shift times will vary between 6am - 3pm, 8 - 5pm, 11:30 - 8:30, and 3pm - midnight.

Abbey House Vets is looking for an outstanding Patient Care Assistant (PCA) to join our compassionate and dynamic team!
The PCA role is critical to delivering the high-quality care and support that our patients and clients deserve. You will be responsible for preparing theatre for surgeries, cleaning and maintaining the quality of our instruments, assisting with patient care and husbandry, running in-house lab tests, packaging biological samples, and assisting with the smooth running of the practice.

Role and Responsibilities
* Assisting with reception duties through the evening and the night shift including taking phone calls, taking payments, and liaising with owners.
* Supporting the team with hospitalised patients.
* Supporting the nurse and vet with triaging patients.
* Setting up for clinical emergencies and supporting with any procedures.
* Effective handover to the PCA night team.
* Supporting the team with surgical procedures throughout the day.
