Our well-established and growing client based in Halesfield Telford is looking for experienced full-time Stores/Assembly Operatives to join their team on a full-time temp to perm basis, working 12 full weeks through Swift Temps before being offered a permanent contract through themselves.
Role and Responsibilities:
1. Receiving and Inspecting Goods: Receive materials and components, verifying that they meet operational standards, quality specifications, and are correctly logged in inventory and stock control systems.
2. Quality Assurance: Inspect products for defects, ensuring quality standards are met, including checking for any anomalies or damage that may affect performance or safety.
3. Housekeeping and Safety: Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols to ensure a safe and efficient environment for manufacturing operations.
4. Environmental Compliance: Ensure all processes comply with relevant environmental regulations, minimizing waste and ensuring sustainable practices are followed.
5. Stock Management: Perform regular stock-taking, process stock movements, update databases, and remove damaged or obsolete parts from shelves to maintain accurate inventory records.
6. Returned Parts Processing: Assess returned parts to determine whether they are suitable for resale, regrading, or disposal, ensuring proper documentation and compliance with company policies.
7. General Store Operations: Support general store duties, including organizing materials, restocking items, and assisting with any other operational needs as required.
8. Manual Handling and Heavy Lifting: Safely lift and handle heavy materials and products as part of the manufacturing process, ensuring proper lifting techniques are followed.
Requirements for the Role:
1. Proficient in Excel.
2. Demonstrate IT skills.
3. Previous experience of working in a Stores environment is essential.
4. Demonstrate meticulous attention to detail as well as a flexible can-do attitude.
5. Ability to identify defects or common faults in materials or products.
6. Previous experience within a fabricating role is essential.
7. Great communication skills.
8. Experience working in goods in and out as well as inventory is mandatory.
Working Hours:
1. Monday to Thursday: 7:30 to 17:00
2. Friday: 7:30 to 14:00
3. Overtime available when needed.
