You will act as a role model at all times, be motivated and lead your team effectively. You must work well under pressure, and you will be expected to communicate closely with other members of the MDT. You will be responsible for managing a team of nurses and HCA which will include sickness management, appraisals and other HR processes. As the ward manager you will be involved in dealing with complaints as they arise and also managing conflict. In addition, you will provide nursing leadership within the department, ensuring an effective quality nursing service, with responsibility for standards of nursing care and patient safety.
