Working Pattern: Term time only, plus inset days (39 weeks)
Hours: 35 hours per week, 8.30am to 4pm, Monday Friday
Actual Starting Salary (calculated pro rata): £20,850 per annum
Salaries are paid in 12 equal monthly instalments

We are seeking a Pastoral Medical Assistant to join our friendly and enthusiastic team. We are also willing to consider applications from candidates who would be interested in this role as a job share.
The Pastoral Medical Assistant will provide effective support to students with minor medical needs, administer first aid as necessary and provide administrative support as part of the wider pastoral team, whose work relates to the needs of students, attendance and behaviour management. Following training in the role, the successful candidate will also be expected to have knowledge of first aid procedures and the administration of medication to students, in line with the associated policies of the University of Brighton Academies Trust.
We are looking for someone with experience of working within a school, with young people or within a medical environment. In addition, our ideal candidate will:
* Have the ability to work under pressure, dealing with conflicting demands and interruptions
* Have the ability to demonstrate a high level of accuracy in input and proof checking with enhanced attention to detail
* Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Work well both as part of a team and on their own initiative
* Be flexible, professional and reliable
* Have the ability to work in a discreet and sensitive manner demonstrating sensitivity and ensuring confidentiality at all times
* Have good literary and numeracy skills
