Vacancy Details
Duration: 6 month Secondment (Internal) or 6 month Fixed Term Contract (External) with the potential to go permanent. (Please note, secondments are subject to line manager approval, please discuss this with them before applying).
Location: This role is based in The Quadrant:MK. This role is a full-time opportunity, flexible working patterns will be considered. For Quadrant:MK, you must live within 75 miles of The Quadrant.
Band & Salary: Band 5 25,080 - 27,170

Brief Description
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for a proactive candidate, well-versed in Microsoft Excel and with experience working in a busy finance team, and partnering with the wider business. We are also looking for someone with some experience in improving processes and working with other teams to find process efficiencies. Previous experience working in a month-end cycle would also be highly valuable as well as the use of PowerBI.

As a key contributor to the financial success of our organisation, you will play an essential role in consolidating business plans, results, and forecasts, and analysing financial performance to ensure alignment with objectives. You will empower budget holders with insightful financial reports, aiding performance management and target achievement. By providing investment and project accounting services, promoting corporate governance standards, and supporting compliance, you will strengthen our financial integrity. Additionally, your efforts in facilitating timely debt collection and creditor payments will be crucial. Essential Criteria
Knowledge of current accounting standards.
Commitment to working towards an accountancy qualification.
Advanced Excel skills.
Desirable Criteria
Experience in management accounting role.
