We are looking for an enthusiastic and innovative individual to join our expanding pharmacy team. The team at Sheffield Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust comprises approximately 500 pharmacy staff working across five sites and is one of the biggest pharmacy departments in the country.

Main duties of the job
1. To be responsible for monitoring directorate performance against annual business plans and to advise the Senior Pharmacy Management team accordingly, producing reports and developing business plans.
2. To be responsible for the development of business cases.
3. To lead on the development and implementation of activity monitoring processes, horizon scanning, and impact analysis by working with senior pharmacy staff and care groups representatives.
4. Explore and develop strategic partnership opportunities within the ICS and wider region.
5. To be responsible for ensuring income recovery, reporting to the SPM and directorate finance team.
6. Assist in the development and delivery of the capital development program, developing business cases and overseeing project delivery.
7. Oversee directorate-wide recruitment, service delivery, and skill-mix reviews.
8. Manage the Pharmacy directorate productivity and efficiency savings initiatives ensuring successful delivery.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Educated to degree level or equivalent professional qualification.
* Demonstrable commitment to continuing personal and professional development.
* Significant demonstrable experience/short courses in a range of HR courses - conducting appraisals, recruitment and selection, performance management, etc.
* Registered pharmacist/technician with GPhC.
* Evidence of study at postgraduate level or equivalent professional development.
Experience
* Staff management/supervision experience, including the setting of objectives, team and individual appraisal, recruitment.
* Experience and knowledge of service demand and capacity planning exercises.
* Experience of managing, monitoring, and controlling expenditure budgets.
* Experience of financial planning and the design and delivery of efficiency schemes.
* Extensive experience of report writing and good presentation skills.
* Experience of the development of business cases/proposals.
* Experience of commissioning arrangements relating to medicines.
* Experience of managing clinical/support services in an acute hospital setting.
* Experience of medicines budgetary management.
Further Training
* Understanding of EPMA reporting.
* Working understanding of pharmacy stock control systems (e.g., JAC/CMM).
* Excellent oral and written communication skills.
* Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work proactively and cooperatively with senior management, clinical staff, and other staff at all levels.
* Ability to get up to speed quickly and make an impact in less familiar service environments.
* Understanding of clinical and corporate governance.

Salary: £46,148 to £52,809 a year (Per annum pro rata for part-time staff)
