Remuneration: £100k + (may be flexible depending on experience)
Are you a dynamic and experienced People Operations Manager looking for your next challenge? An expanding boutique law firm in the heart of London’s West End is seeking a talented individual to lead their People Operations function. This is a unique opportunity to join a forward-thinking legal practice, with beautiful offices renowned for its expertise in Immigration, Sanctions, White-Collar Crime, and Litigation & Arbitration.
The Role:
As the Head of People Operations, you will report directly to the Partners and play a pivotal role in managing the firm’s administrative and support functions. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of people management, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and employee relations, while also supporting IT, Finance, and Compliance functions.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage the Administration and Support teams.
* Provide support to IT, Finance, and Compliance, including managing the breaches register.
* Oversee the firm’s business and buildings insurance.
* Approve and monitor weekly office supplies.
* Review and update office policies and procedures.
* Plan and coordinate training and development programs.
* Manage all aspects of the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding.
* Handle absence and performance management.
* Monitor chargeable hours and resource utilisation.
* Collaborate with Partners to manage non-billable commitments.
* Ensure all employees have up-to-date right-to-work documentation.
* Coordinate internship and work experience placement programs.
* Lead ad hoc projects as required.
About You:
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* Proven experience as a People or Operations Manager in a law firm.
* In-depth knowledge of the SRA Code of Conduct and Accounts Rules.
* Excellent stakeholder management skills with a proven ability to build relationships quickly.
* Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to thrive under pressure.
* Commercial awareness and a keen eye for risk management.
* A growth mindset with a commitment to continuous learning and development.
