Costume Supervisor - Chessington, London Job Type: Guaranteed Hours - Seasonal (Fixed End Date) What you'll bring to the team Location: Chessington World of Adventures Resort Leatherhead Road Chessington Surrey KT9 2NE Here at Chessington World of Adventures we are recruiting for a Costume Supervisor to join our Entertainments team Immerse yourself in a whole world of Entertainment We are looking for a candidate who can lead our Costume department throughout the seasons, successfully supporting the live entertainment attractions and events. Working closely with the Entertainments and Events Creative Manager you will be designing and creating costumes for our events. This is a varied role from sourcing fabric and costumes, creating quick change and dressing plans to negotiating with suppliers, to ensure deadlines and budget requirements are met. You will confidently manage a team of Costume Assistants supporting and motivating them to deliver exciting and memorable experiences to our guests. The role will involve a variety of different jobs depending on the needs of the day. Including the following; Supervising a team of costume assistants. Working closely with the Entertainments and Events creative and operational managers. Designing and creating costumes for all events. Sourcing fabric and costumes for shows and events. Creating quick change, dressing and making plans for costumes Creating Rotas. Negotiating with suppliers for fabrics. Ordering stock. General administration and stock taking. Laundry and basic cleaning Maintenance / repair costumes and skin costume characters. Support, motivate and confidently lead a team. Working to budgets and deadlines. This role is a Permanent position and will require you to work weekends and bank holidays when required. Please be aware that onsite Interviews will be scheduled for week commencing 25 th November 2024.
