Belmont Recruitment are currently looking for a Finance Assistant to join Conwy Council on an initial 3 month temporary contract. This is a full-time role working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Key Responsibilities: Assist in budget preparation, monitoring, and financial control. Provide financial advice and reports to service managers and stakeholders. Support financial year-end processes, including account closures. Ensure compliance with financial regulations, tax policies, and audit requirements. Maintain financial systems and support treasury management processes. Assist with grant management and government financial returns. What We’re Looking For: Part-qualified Accounting Technician or relevant experience in finance. Strong knowledge of financial systems, spreadsheets, and databases. Excellent communication and analytical skills. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines under pressure. Knowledge of local government finance (desirable). Welsh language skills (desirable).
