Fixed term contract/ secondment opportunity for 12 months We are looking for an ambitious, passionate, and patient focused person to work with us as a Healthcare Assistant within Urology. This is an exciting opportunity to join a team of Specialist Nurses and existing Health Care Assistants within the Urology Directorate at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital in King’s Lynn. As a Band 2 Health Care Assistant you will be working alongside Specialist Nurses, Senior Healthcare Assistants, and all members of the Multi-Disciplinary Team. You will have the chance to expand your knowledge and skills in this field of Nursing with the opportunity to attend virtual and classroom-based training courses. You will be well supported by the existing team within Urology to take up this new challenge with a focus on patient pathways and treatments. To provide and monitor a safe, person-centered care to a designated group of patients, service users and families in a range of care settings under the direction of the specialist nurses, without direct supervision in line with an agreed plan of care. To support the Specialist Nurses by contributing to delivery of care for this group of patients To assist in the monitoring of conditions and health needs of patients on a continual basis in partnership with colleagues, families and carers, referring to others for reassessment. To work under supervision of the Urology Specialist Nurses partaking in clinics on the unit as directed.
