Role Overview
As the Business Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving growth, building relationships, and positioning the company brand as the preferred choice in the powered access equipment market. You’ll take ownership of developing new business opportunities and nurturing existing client partnerships, ensuring they exceed sales targets and maintain their industry-leading reputation.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and execute a strategic business development plan across the North West region.
* Identify and target potential clients in key sectors, building a strong sales pipeline.
* Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with both new and existing clients.
* Present tailored solutions to clients, showcasing the range of mechanical powered access equipment.
* Negotiate contracts and close sales to meet or exceed revenue targets.
* Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify new opportunities.
* Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing and operations, to ensure seamless service delivery.
* Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to promote the brand.
Ideal Candidate
* Proven experience in business development or sales, ideally within the Powered Access, Material Handling or Construction Equipment industries.
* A strong network within the North East's industrial or construction sectors is advantageous.
* Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
* Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently.
* A full UK driving license and willingness to travel across the region.
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and develop actionable insights.
