Our Care Home - Sir Samuel Kelly Residential Home is situated 3 miles outside Belfast in the town of Holywood. It is situated in 2-3 acres of woodland and landscaped gardens. At present the home provides care and accommodation for 40 residents who are aged over 65. The upstairs is designed as a dementia suite for 24 residents. Downstairs is for older people who do not have a diagnosis of dementia but require care and within this we are able to offer end of life care for two residents. Working as part of a team and with the Administration Manager, the successful applicant will be responsible for supporting the catering function, ensuring that the cleanliness within the kitchen and dining area is maintained to a high standard including attention to matters of health & safety and hygiene regulations. The main duties & responsibilities include: General cleaning of the kitchen and dining area's; Basic food preparation and serving; and Maintaining equipment and all work areas to a high standard of health and safety. The successful candidate(s) will be able to demonstrate: Good communication skills and an enthusiasm for working with older people. Ability to work comfortably in a Christian environment and operate within professional boundaries is necessary prerequisites for the post.
