Job Description Manufacturing Engineer Full Time/Hybrid Derby An exciting opportunity has arisen for you to join us as a Manufacturing Engineer join Civil Engineering, Technology & Safety team to help us deliver Better Data Faster in an exciting and fast paced environment. What you will be doing: This is a high profile role working with a team of Manufacturing Engineers whilst contributing towards current Trent 1000 & Trent XWB engine development programmes and driving change and challenge through the UltraFan project. Provide Technical support to operations and execute Manufacturing Engineering activities to develop, maintain and continuously improve manufacturing processes, methods of manufacture and manufacturing execution. These will support the business, customer and operation requirements for safety, quality, cost and delivery (SQCD). Responsibilities: HSE - Ensure that manufacturing process and methods are in full compliance to Health, Safety and Environmental standards and meet the full expectations of the Zero Harm Programme Develop capability - develop, implement, validate and maintain manufacturing process, use of digital systems and methods of manufacture which are capable of meeting the requirements of the business. To have a proactive approach to capture and analyse data to drive continuous improvement in their role. Collaboration and Knowledge Sharing- Work with interfacing teams and local experts to ensure all technical aspects of manufacturing engineering are understood and accounted for. Manage and develop talent - responsible for self-development to meet the required competencies for the role and continuously seek opportunities to expand knowledge and flexibility within the team to increase effectiveness in undertaking both existing and new opportunities. Planning and Delivery - Plan and manage activities to support the needs of the business and operational facility. Technical Authority - Resolves technical issues and ensures application of manufacturing processes and controls are robust and covered by appropriate delegated authority. Meets engineering design intent for both new and existing products and provides a cost effective sequence in terms of turn round time and material utilisation. Why Rolls-Royce?
