We are looking to recruit a Catering Assistant to join our team at Bryntirion Residential Care Home, Tregaron, on a permanent, part-time basis.
The role includes:
- general kitchen duties including washing up of equipment and utensils and the cleaning of all areas and surrounds
- to prepare and serve meals to the residents
- maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness in all areas of the kitchen at all times
- ensuring observance of Food Safety and Environmental Health standards
On a day to day basis you will:
- undertake the preparation and serving meals for the residents to include beverages
- general kitchen duties including washing up of equipment and utensils and the cleaning of all areas and surrounds
- setting up the tables and clearing if required
- recording the temperature of food at the point of service
- ensuring observance of Food Safety and Environmental Health standards
- ensuring EEC standards on Manual Handling
- general Health and Safety of kitchen including hazardous equipment
