The Role – Quality Assurance Engineer Reporting to the EPC Manager, as Quality Assurance Engineer you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of quality across a portfolio of major gas network infrastructure projects. Yokogawa are looking for a proactive and passionate Quality Assurance Engineer that ideally has worked on large scale Construction, Design and Management projects with experience of NEC4 forms of contract. This will be a vital position within the engineering support team, providing support to large scale individual projects or multiple small/medium projects. You will ensure all projects are compliant with Yokogawa’s and client QA requirements. To be considered for this Quality Assurance Engineer role, you will ideally have the following experience, qualifications, skills, knowledge, and attributes: Assist in developing & reviewing existing the Project Quality Management system by establishing procedures, plans and work instructions as needed. Monitor implementation of the Asset/Project/Function Quality Management System through regular audits and reviews. Support and monitor the implementation of Yokogawa’s CDM QMS on projects. Produce Project Quality specific documentation for client acceptance such as Quality Plans, ITPs and Databooks including structures. Participate and provide input into technical HSE and integrity reviews. Establish and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure quality performance in different areas of work development and at various project phases. Develop and ensure QA requirements are incorporated into Documents, Contracts and Purchase Orders for both sub-contractors and suppliers. Evaluate quality criteria within tender submissions and provide support during contract evaluation and award (MWCs, Sub-Contractors and Suppliers) Monitor and report on compliance and nonconformities and maintain relevant records. Lead attend meetings to provide professional QA advice to the project team. Identify and manage risks that could impact achieving quality objectives. Competently perform on routine applications of skills. Anticipates & solves problems by integrating knowledge from multiple areas. Recognized as a leader or expert. Interprets & incorporates industry info and advances. Sound knowledge of other skills & able to apply in several areas. Responsible for resolving entire complex problems. Our Requirements – Quality Assurance Engineer Proven track record of managing Quality through all stages of Design and Build projects. Experience in a similar role within Construction, Design and Management projects. Relevant and recognised Quality Assurance or Quality Management qualification. Knowledge of ISO 9001, Health & Safety at Work A full UK driving licence Applicants with experience of the UK’s Gas National Transmission System or major Gas Construction projects highly desirable. What you can expect from us: Salary: Level dependent on experience. Contract type: Staff or Fixed Term Working hours: Monday to Thursday 8:30am to 5:00pm, Friday 8:30am to 4:30pm. Flexibility will be required to meet customer and business needs. Location: Based at Runcorn office. After initial training period, hybrid working will be available, however you should live within commutable distance to Runcorn office. There will be a requirement to travel to UK customer sites for each project.
