Sales Specification Manager - NW England
We are looking for an enthusiastic Sales Specification Manager to join our fantastic team of sales professionals within our Lighting Intelligence business unit. The main focus of the role will be to sell the company's different lighting control solutions. You will visit existing customers and build personal relationships, as well as proactively seek new projects. You will ensure a simple and well-planned sales process with a focus on the customer. Through networking and contacts, you will drive sales by attracting new customer groups and identifying unprocessed markets, such as real estate owners.
What you'll be:
1. Be an experienced, active and truly customer-focused seller.
2. Embrace the company's approach to sales management and report/build pipeline through our CRM systems.
3. Spend 80% of your time out with customers.
4. Promote and sell the complete product and service offering through building and upholding close relations with key stakeholders.
5. Input project progression information into CRM systems regularly.
6. Commit to achieving set targets and enjoy exceeding them.
What will your days look like:
1. Identify and build relationships with Lighting Designers and M&E Consultants.
2. Build relationships with electrical contractors, wholesalers, investors, contractors, and tenants.
3. Actively seek new projects and identify key decision-makers to increase sales within the North West area.
4. Develop and build lighting management activities in major Northern building projects.
5. Embrace modern sales techniques and maintain project logs, call planning, key visit notes, and quotations in CRM.
6. Advocate Lighting Intelligence solutions in a consultative manner.
7. Achieve agreed individual sales and profitability targets.
8. Engage with M&E consultants to build a resilient specifications pipeline.
9. Promote Lighting Intelligence solutions using consultative selling techniques.
10. Engage directly with key influencers and business decision-makers.
11. Track projects from specification to order, ensuring timely communication with stakeholders.
12. Work with all project stakeholders for seamless integration with third-party services.
13. Attend industry exhibitions as required.
14. Plan and conduct CPD accredited seminars with the support of the Marketing team.
What skills would be great in this role:
1. Proven experience and understanding of modern sales processes.
2. Good sales experience in technological fields such as lighting controls, HVAC, or building management.
3. Demonstrated experience in meeting or exceeding demanding sales targets.
4. Exceptional interpersonal and relationship management skills.
5. Self-sufficient with initiative and drive.
6. Confident and effective communicator with influencing skills.
7. Ability to present and influence individuals and groups at all levels.
8. Passionate about delivering exceptional customer service and value.
9. Flexible and agile, able to adapt your approach to maximize results.
10. Based in North West for relevant travel, and international travel when required.
11. Spoken and written fluency in English; an additional European language is desirable.
12. An understanding or background in lighting controls is beneficial but not essential.
Package Includes:
Base Salary + Sales Bonus + Car allowance
