An opportunity has arisen at Westminster Memorial Hospital to join the Facilities team as a Facilities Assistant.
Please note that this will be a multi-skilled job description and training will be provided for cleaning, portering, and catering provision if the service demand requires; however, the main duty will be cleaning. Applicants should be enthusiastic, motivated, and able to work as part of a team and also on their own.
This position is for 16 hours per week to include every other weekend. We work on a 2-week rota. There are also opportunities for extra hours to cover sickness or annual leave.
Shift timings as follows:
Shift Timings
Week 1: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday 0800-1200
Week 2: Monday, Tuesday and Thursday 0800-1200

Main Duties of the Job
1. Provide an effective, patient-focused facilities service to meet NHS cleanliness standards as a minimum.
2. Provision of appropriate portering services.
3. Contribute to the delivery of Catering Services in the hospital and ensure a clean, safe, and hygienic environment.
Full training, induction, and uniform will be provided, and we also offer generous annual leave entitlement as well as a pension scheme.
Employment in this post requires a Standard Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which the Trust will cover the cost of. Applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service are able to present a valid DBS certificate instead of requiring a new check.
