You will be employed by HomeCareDirect on behalf of the client and your focus will be to support them only. This role will be to cover 24hrs a week over 2 waking nights, from 8pm – 8am. Your shifts will be allocated on a rota basis so you should be flexible to cover as needed. Pay rates are broken down as follows: Monday to Friday 8pm – 8am: £14.75 Saturday and Sunday 8pm – 8am: £15.00 About the Client and Duties Our client is a non-verbal 20 year old man with complex disabilities and needs. He is lively, joyful and loves music and being silly. He is looking for a friendly person to join his care team who can keep him upbeat and smiling. Support is required with personal care, medication, moving and handling, ventilation and oxygen therapy and providing emergency aid when required. Requirements Training and Support: We provide comprehensive, paid training to CQC standards covering: Full induction Safeguarding Adults Health & Safety / First Aid / Food Hygiene Moving & Handling with hoist Personal care / Pressure area care / Sepsis awareness / Infection control Gastrostomy care / medication (via PEG) / Oxygen / Oral Suction / Ventilation Epilepsy / Learning Disabilities / Autism / Cerebral Palsy / MCA & DOLs All training must be completed before the start date, with training hours paid at minimum wage Requirements: Previous experience of working with complex care needs Able to be flexible and work as part of a team Commitment to long-term, person-centred care You must be reliable, compassionate and committed to respecting confidentiality Benefits Our organisation is committed to safe and fair recruitment, safeguarding and protecting those we care for and serve.
