A DAY IN
THE LIFE OF A RECEPTION GUEST SERVICES ASSISTANT AT HOLIDAY INN EXPRESS BARROW
What
you'll be doing...
Reporting
to the Rooms Manager, you can expect your role to include:
1. Varied 8 hour shifts, which
include a mix of early shifts starting from 06:30 and late shifts starting
from 14:30.
2. Mainly working on the front
desk communicating with guests on a daily basis.
3. Assisting guests with checking
in, checking out, inquiries and requests.
4. Some reservations and
administrative work.
5. Cross-trained to assist the
F&B team on the bar and in the restaurant when needed.
6. Ensure information is passed
on and staff are kept well informed of the goings on in the hotel.
7. Striving for operational
excellence and meeting or surpassing set targets.
8. Providing
True Hospitality to all guests to ensure they have the best experience whilst staying
at the hotel.
9. Ensure
IHG compliance (training provided) whilst working with the IHG Champions.
10. Cash handling and basic
financial balancing.
11. Work closely with the
housekeeping department to ensure rooms are available when needed and
guest expectations and requests are met.
12. Work closely with the
maintenance department to ensure rooms are available when needed and
issues with rooms are dealt with in a timely manner.

succeed in the role of Reception GSA, you will be someone that:
1. Has flexibility in working
hours. You will be working varied shifts which also will include some
weekends.
2. Is reliable and punctual
with a positive attitude.
3. Has hospitality or customer
service experience.
4. Has basic computer skills
with previous reception experience.
5. Has great initiative, strong
attention to detail and who double checks everything.
6. Takes pride in their work
and who pushes to ensure the job is done right.
7. Is not afraid to get stuck
in and help where needed.
8. A desire to learn and
improve as the business changes and evolves.
