About the role:
We are currently seeking a Lecturer in Digital Media to join our Art & Design department at The Bedford College Group .
As a Lecturer, you play an important role in the success of our students through:
1. Specialist Knowledge - Relevant Degree, teaching qualification, industry experience, and knowledge of media practices and software.
2. Overall Responsibilities - Prepare, deliver, assess, and verify courses; support students; manage learning; contribute to curriculum development; and participate in marketing activities.
3. Main Duties - Teach effectively, prepare schemes of work, develop learning materials, assess students, monitor progress, and carry out tutorials.
4. Additional Duties - Lead curriculum development, act as Course Manager, mentor new staff, and work with Advanced Practitioners.
5. Statutory Duties - Promote safeguarding, equality and diversity, follow health and safety requirements, and engage in training and development.
About you:
6. Qualifications and Experience - Level 3 qualification, willingness to achieve teaching and assessor qualifications, GCSEs in English and Maths, and recent teaching experience.
7. Skills and Knowledge - Knowledge of current developments, promoting equality and diversity, high performance, and excellent organizational skills.
8. Values and Teamwork - Work in line with College values, achieve positive relationships, contribute to the team, and demonstrate strong interpersonal skills.
9. Professional Conduct - Promote the College's reputation, create a welcoming environment, communicate effectively, and support high-quality learning.
