The Director, EMEA Regional Marketing sets the overall direction and road map for Key Account and wider regional marketing across EMEA. The role will drive alignment between the Key Account and regional commercial priorities, delivering impactful marketing programs that contribute to the achievement of EMEA commercial goals. You will require an in-depth knowledge of the EMEA life science market, as well as the ability to launch compelling regional marketing programs that complement our global product and marketing strategy, as well as capitalizing on regional opportunities. You will be the primary marketing leader for our EMEA Commercial General Manager, so excellent communication, prioritization and senior stakeholder management skills are essential. You will provide direction to the EMEA commercial functions and the global teams, so strong direct and matrixed management experience is required. This position reports to the Commercial General Manager, EMEA and is part of the Sales, Service and Marketing team located in Cambridge, UK and will be onsite. In this role, you will have the opportunity to: Strategy and Direction - Set overall strategic direction and roadmap for EMEA regional marketing, aligned to regional commercial as well as global strategic priorities. Design and implement localized marketing strategies that align with global marketing goals and objectives, tailored to the unique needs of the EMEA market. Regional Campaign Management and Tracking - Lead the execution of multi-channel marketing campaigns, including digital, social media, events, and promotional activities. Ensure that all initiatives effectively support business objectives and drive growth. Track, analyze, and report the performance of regional marketing initiatives. Provide actionable insights to leadership and the sales team to continuously optimize strategies and enhance campaign effectiveness. Collaborate with Commercial Sales Organization, Product Marketing and External Partners - Act as the primary EMEA marketing stakeholder for the EMEA Commercial GM plus wider abcam executive and leadership teams, as the owner of marketing projects to align efforts and ensure mutual success. Collaborate closely with the Product Marketing team to identify emerging industry trends, evolving customer needs, and technological advancements within the life sciences sector. Use these insights to inform strategic decision-making and capitalize on new opportunities for partnerships. EMEA Market Expertise and Voice of the EMEA Customer - Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the EMEA market, ensuring that feedback and insights from regional activities are communicated effectively to global teams. Establish processes and feedback loops that foster collaboration and alignment between regional and global stakeholders The essential requirements of the job include: - Degree in a scientific or business discipline, with a master's and MBA being desirable. - Significant experience in building and implementing strategic marketing programs in the EMEA market, preferably in the life science sector, driving growth in consideration and purchase. - Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with key senior marketing and sales stakeholders, and influence global marketing teams. - Skilled in shaping regional strategies and integrating regional trends, opportunities, and priorities into broader commercial plans. - Strong communication and project management skills, capable of handling multiple projects and inspiring teams and stakeholders with a compelling vision and strategy. Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements: - Ability to travel as needed within the region (approximately 25%).
